DIAGNOSIS:

4. Pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (PAP)

A classic pattern of ground-glass and septal thickening is seen. This is often called the “crazy-paving” pattern and is quite characteristic of this diagnosis.

PAP can also be primary or secondary. This patient had primary auto-immune PAP.
