TEACHING POINTS

At the end of the session, the delegate were able to

  1. Identify ILDs
  2. Differentiate fibrosing from non-fibrosing ILDs
  3. Differentiate different fibrosing ILDs based on the new ERS-ATS criteria
  4. Differentiate among the common non-fibrosing ILDs, with a focus on hypersensitivity pneumonitis and sarcoidosis
  5. Identify a few uncommon and rare ILDs such as pleuroparenchymal fibroelastosis (PPFE)

BASIC PROGRAM (11.00AM TO 4.00PM)

  • 30 cases were given in advance
  • Discussion of these 30 cases including the entire spectrum of ILDs
  • Tea Break
  • 20 Cases were given thereafter for review
  • Lunch
  • Discussion of each of these 20 cases in detail
  • 20 cases sent after 1 week for re-study
